Scheduling an Appointment
Consultations
Consultations are provided in your home and are about helping a pet owner to understand and manage their pets’ undesirable behaviors. After spending time reviewing the pets’ behavioral history, we may work with the pet. In cases where the pet is incapable of working with a visitor; I will produce a plan for the pet owner to follow. Many common problems may be solved in consultation format; once a behavior is understood it may be addressed and ultimately may be modified. It is my belief that this process is best accomplished by the pet owner rather than a trainer providing the work. Obedience Training Common obedience behaviors are taught as a baseline for communication and control purposes. This type of training requires a commitment in time and energy as consistency is the key to success. I find it preferable to engage a family in a series of training sessions as to have continuity and allow the training process to become routine. Those of us who have had well trained dogs realize that continued teaching produces continued learning; it is a way of life. Calendar I make up my work schedule week by week. As I am available most weekdays and many weekends for appointments, I do not tend to work evenings unless special arrangements have been made. I do my best to remain flexible and ask my clientele to do the same when it comes to scheduling. Fee Structure House-calls generally take from 1.5 - 2 hours in time. House-call rate is $300.00 and up per visit. Higher fee may be reflected based location and/or case. Phones and messaging I can be reached by text to 914 347-3100 during normal work hours.
